Shipping, delivery, returns, and manufacturer-specific policies for purchases from Guid Wark.
Shipping
Shipping is charged separately from the product price unless a product page specifically states otherwise. The applicable shipping charge will be shown before you complete your order.
The products carried by Guid Wark can range from smaller parcel shipments to substantial chests, bases, cabinets, and other items that require freight or LTL service.
Shipping methods and costs can therefore vary considerably by product and manufacturer. When an item requires special freight handling, Guid Wark will make that clear before purchase.
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact Guid Wark as soon as possible. Once an order has entered fulfillment or shipping, cancellation may no longer be possible and the normal return terms may apply.
When your order arrives
Please inspect the shipment promptly.
If the carton, pallet, or product shows signs of damage, photograph the packaging and the affected area before discarding anything. For freight deliveries, note visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing whenever possible.
Keep the carton, padding, pallet materials, and other packaging until you are satisfied that the order arrived correctly and without damage.
If something is damaged, missing, or different from what you ordered, contact Guid Wark promptly. Do not return the product on your own. We will work with the manufacturer and, when appropriate, the carrier to determine the proper next step.
Returns
Return eligibility, deadlines, restocking charges, and manufacturer procedures may vary by manufacturer. The applicable manufacturer-specific terms are listed below and, where materially important to a purchase, may also be identified on the product page.
All voluntary returns require prior authorization from Guid Wark.
Do not ship merchandise back without contacting us first. Merchandise returned without authorization may not be accepted or processed.
Unless otherwise stated for a particular manufacturer or product:
- original shipping charges are nonrefundable;
- the customer is responsible for all return-shipping costs on a voluntary return;
- the customer is responsible for appropriate return-shipment insurance; and
- the merchandise must be returned in first-class, resalable condition.
An approved voluntary return must be:
- returned in its original carton with all interior packing and padding;
- complete with all parts, accessories, documentation, and other materials supplied with it; and
- packed sufficiently to protect the product during return shipment.
We strongly recommend insuring return shipments for their full value.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method after returned merchandise has been received, inspected, and approved.
Products returned damaged, incomplete, improperly packed, missing original materials, or otherwise not in resalable condition may be subject to additional deductions or may be refused.
Manufacturer-specific return terms
Gerstner USA
Guid Wark accepts approved voluntary returns of non-defective Gerstner USA merchandise within 30 days of the original purchase date. Ordinary returns are not accepted after that period.
Because the return period is measured from the purchase date, contact us as early as possible if you are considering a return.
Approved non-defective Gerstner USA returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee.
The restocking fee helps cover manufacturer restocking charges, nonrefundable payment-processing costs, and the administrative expense involved in processing a returned order.
Original shipping charges are nonrefundable.
The customer is responsible for all return-shipping costs and appropriate insurance on a voluntary Gerstner USA return.
Damaged or incorrect merchandise
Damage in transit or an incorrect shipment is not treated as an ordinary voluntary return.
If a manufacturer ships the wrong product, or if the product is damaged in shipping, contact Guid Wark promptly and do not ship anything back on your own.
We will work with the manufacturer and, when appropriate, the carrier to arrange the proper remedy and return instructions.
The customer will not be responsible for return shipping or a voluntary-return restocking fee when the manufacturer shipped the wrong item or the shipment was damaged in transit, provided the matter is handled through the authorized process.
Keep all original packaging until the matter has been resolved.
Defective merchandise and manufacturer warranties
Manufacturer warranties are separate from Guid Wark’s ordinary return policy and may differ from one manufacturer to another.
If you believe a product has a manufacturing defect, contact Guid Wark first. We will help coordinate the claim with the manufacturer and determine what photographs, documentation, shipment arrangements, or other information may be required.
Do not ship a product for warranty service without authorization.
Shipping responsibility for warranty work will depend on the applicable manufacturer’s warranty terms and the circumstances of the claim.
Gerstner USA warranty
Gerstner USA products are covered by Gerstner’s applicable manufacturer warranty.
Warranty claims are separate from the ordinary 30-day Gerstner USA return period.
Contact Guid Wark first and we will help coordinate the claim with Gerstner.
Questions before ordering?
If shipping or return considerations may affect your choice—particularly for a large, heavy, freight-shipped, or specialized product—contact us before ordering.
It is much easier to resolve questions about size, shipping, compatibility, or delivery before a substantial product is in transit.
