How Guid Wark collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, contact us, create an account, or place an order.

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you use the Guid Wark website and store. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, account information, order details, and messages you send through our contact forms.

When you place an order, WooCommerce records information about the order, including the products purchased, transaction status, customer information supplied at checkout, and the payment method used.

We also receive technical information associated with use of the website. This can include your IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from technical information, and information collected through cookies or similar technologies.

How we use information

We use personal information to operate Guid Wark and provide the services you request. This includes processing and fulfilling orders, taking payment, providing order and shipping information, maintaining customer accounts, responding to questions, handling returns and warranty matters, preventing fraud and abuse, maintaining the security and reliability of the site, keeping legally required business records, and understanding how the website is used.

We do not collect personal information merely because it is available. Our aim is to collect and use information that is reasonably useful for operating the store, serving customers, protecting the business and its customers, and meeting legal obligations.

Payments

Guid Wark uses a third-party payment processor to securely process payments.

When you make a purchase, information needed to complete the transaction is transmitted to the payment processor. Depending on the payment method and processor, this may include billing information, transaction details, device information, IP address, and other information used to process payments, verify transactions, and prevent fraud.

Sensitive payment-card information is handled through the payment processor’s secure payment technology rather than being stored as ordinary customer information in the Guid Wark WordPress/WooCommerce database.

Guid Wark may retain information about the transaction, such as payment status, payment method, amount, date, transaction identifiers, and other information necessary to identify and administer the order.

The payment processor’s handling of information is also governed by its own privacy policy and terms.

Order fulfillment, shipping, returns, and warranty service

Some Guid Wark products may be shipped or serviced directly by a manufacturer, supplier, or shipping carrier.

When that is necessary, we provide the information reasonably required to fulfill or service the order. This may include the customer’s name, shipping address, contact information, items ordered, quantities, and other order details.

If you contact us about shipping damage, an incorrect item, a return, or a warranty claim, information you provide about the problem—including photographs when applicable—may be shared with the manufacturer, supplier, carrier, insurer, or other party involved in resolving the matter.

We do not provide those parties with information unrelated to the purpose for which they are assisting us.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Guid Wark website uses cookies and similar technologies needed for functions such as the shopping cart, checkout, customer accounts, security, fraud prevention, and maintaining website sessions.

We also use analytics and site-performance information to understand how people find and use the website, identify technical problems, and improve the customer experience. This information can include pages viewed, referral information, browser and device characteristics, IP address, approximate location, and interactions with the site.

Payment, security, analytics, and infrastructure providers may also use cookies or similar technologies as part of the services they provide.

You can control or remove many cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the store, including the cart, account, or checkout, from functioning properly.

Where applicable law requires consent before particular non-essential technologies are used, we will provide the required choice.

When we share information

Guid Wark does not operate a data-broker business or sell customer lists.

We disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to operate the store or provide a service requested by the customer. Recipients can include payment processors; manufacturers and suppliers involved in fulfillment, returns, or warranty service; shipping carriers; website hosting, infrastructure, security, and performance providers; email and form-delivery services; analytics providers; and professional advisers or service providers supporting legitimate business operations.

Our website also uses infrastructure and security services provided by third parties, including Cloudflare.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, enforce our agreements or policies, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect the rights or safety of Guid Wark or others, or complete a legitimate business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Service providers may process information in jurisdictions other than the one in which you live.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, warranty, dispute-resolution, and legal requirements.

Order and transaction records may therefore be retained after an order has been completed. Information associated with a customer account may be retained while the account remains active and afterward when retention is reasonably necessary.

Messages and support records are retained for as long as reasonably useful for answering the request, maintaining an appropriate record of the matter, or handling related orders, returns, warranties, or disputes.

Some information may remain temporarily in backups or security records after it has been removed from active systems.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights concerning your personal information. These can include rights to request access to information we maintain about you, correct inaccurate information, obtain a copy of certain information, request deletion of eligible information, or object to or opt out of particular forms of processing.

These rights are subject to applicable law and its exceptions. For example, we may need to retain certain transaction information for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, contractual, or legal purposes even after a deletion request.

To make a privacy request, use the Guid Wark Contact page and identify the message as a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request in order to protect customer information from unauthorized access or deletion.

If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a decision concerning a privacy request, you may submit that appeal through the same Contact page and identify it as a privacy appeal.

Information security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the information entrusted to us. Access to customer information is limited to people and service providers who need it for legitimate business purposes.

No website, network, database, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot promise absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Guid Wark is a general-audience retail website and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

Third-party websites

The Guid Wark website may contain links to manufacturers, carriers, payment providers, or other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy as the Guid Wark store, its suppliers, technology, or legal obligations change.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Material changes may also be communicated in another appropriate manner when required.

When contacting us about a privacy matter, please provide enough information for us to understand and respond to the request, but do not send payment-card information or other unnecessary sensitive financial information through the contact form.
