2007 Classic Chest

Seven drawers and a top well give the 2007 Classic Chest a traditional Gerstner layout without requiring the space of the larger 26-inch chests. At 20 inches wide, it is easier to place on a smaller bench, cabinet or shelf while still giving small instruments and longer pieces separate places to live.

The drawer arrangement mixes smaller compartments with two full-width drawers. That lets you keep little instruments from collecting together in one large space, while the longer drawers handle pieces that need more room. Another storage area sits beneath the lid. Felt lines the drawers, and the front panel locks across them when the chest is closed.

Gerstner makes the 2007 in Dayton, Ohio. American Cherry is supplied with brass hardware and brown felt. Golden Oak and Natural Walnut come with nickel hardware and green felt.

The B2104 Classic Base is the documented companion when you want more drawers below the chest without moving to a wider system. If the 2007’s 20-inch width is beginning to feel restrictive, the 2610 Journeyman is the more useful next comparison: it moves to a 26-inch chest with longer drawers and more separate storage.
