J1001 Just Right Box

A top compartment and one small drawer can be enough when the things you want to keep together belong on a dresser or desk. The J1001 Just Right Box is only 9-3/8 inches wide, with a taller, narrower shape than the 1401 EDC Desktop Case.

Pens, small tools or everyday accessories can sit together in the top well, with smaller pieces in the felt-lined drawer below. The drawer is 1-1/4 inches high internally, so check the size of anything you intend to keep there. The top well gives you more height and locks beneath the lid.

This J1001 comes assembled and ready to use. Gerstner documents tongue-and-groove construction, hardwoods and veneers, a hand-fit drawer and rubber feet. A Gerstner logo inside the lining is visible when the lid is open.

American Cherry pairs brass hardware with brown felt. Golden Oak and Natural Walnut use nickel hardware and green felt; the storage layout remains the same across all three factory configurations.

The 1401 is the better comparison when you want a wider spread of everyday-carry items and a removable foam drawer insert. If building the box is part of the appeal, the J1001 DIY Kit is sold separately for assembly and finishing.
