Spray cans need height; small tools need somewhere they will not disappear. The 2001AP All-Purpose Case brings those two needs together with a rear storage well, a removable divided tray and a drawer beneath the main compartment.
The rear well is intended to hold standard spray cans upright. Lift out the tray to reach the space underneath, or remove its dividers when a different arrangement makes more sense. It is a useful layout for a mixed set of supplies rather than rows of similarly sized instruments. The drawer gives smaller pieces their own place without requiring you to unpack the tray.
Gerstner’s product illustration shows the arrangement clearly: the tray runs across the front of the case, leaving the upright well behind it. A mirror sits inside the lid. The case uses hardwoods and veneers with tongue-and-groove construction, and felt covers the principal storage surfaces. A single key locks the case. Guid Wark’s approved assortment includes American Cherry, Golden Oak and Natural Walnut.
If most of what you store is made up of shallow instruments, the seven-drawer 2007 Classic Chest gives you a very different layout in a similar part of the Gerstner range. The 2001AP makes more sense when the upright compartment and lift-out tray are the reason you are buying it. Gerstner also identifies the B2104 Classic Base as a companion when you want additional drawer storage below the case.
